[Reporter Huang Haochen/Taipei Report] In order to assist fashion brands and textile supply chains to accelerate the digitalization process of fabrics, Taiwan General Textile Technology Co., Ltd. (Frontier.cool) signed a contract with the Taiwan Textile Digital Upgrading Development Association (AADT) to digitize Taiwanese fabrics Technology and services are promoted to more global fashion brands and their supply chains to assist Taiwanese factories in the digital transformation of their supply chains.

Frontier also announced that it has established a digital textile service center platform, which has been certified by the sportswear brand adidas and has become the brand's designated global fabric digital partner. In the future, Taiwan textile factories can upload digital fabric information through this platform. Provide fabric samples that meet the needs of brand owners, and match the supply chain of Taiwanese factories to make it easier to receive orders from international brands such as Adidas.

Huang Weiji, secretary-general of the Textile Development Association, said that the textile digital service center not only provides digital software and hardware, but also connects the two ends of the brand and the textile supply chain. In addition to the high resolution of the uploaded fabric files, the actual touch can be captured by 70% to 80%. The fabric is simulated into garments and linked to digital proofing, allowing suppliers to save time in communicating with brand owners. From the previous period of more than 2 months, both parties only need to communicate twice online to quickly solve problems.

AADT Chairman Zhan Tingyi pointed out that if Taiwanese factories want to enter the fast fashion and short-order supply chain, and cooperate with the platform to be certified by Adidas, Taiwanese factories will have a greater chance of getting orders from brand owners in the future.

Huang Weiji emphasized that this year, due to the high inventory of ready-made garments, the purchase of brand owners has been postponed. Some industry players have reported that the textile industry has never been as bad as it is now. It is hoped that through the platform media, at this stage, Taiwanese factories can operate smoothly.
