In 2001, in front of the participants of the Permanent Working Group, which discussed the planned interventions for the sector for investments, restructuring and conversion of vineyards, the promotion of Bulgarian wine on international markets, and the promotion of wine tourism, on Tuesday.

"Your opinion on the upcoming interventions is important, the new period has started.

The Ministry of Agriculture will comply with the industry's requests for the structuring and scope of the support," said the responsible Deputy Minister Todor Dzhikov.

He recalled that the meetings of the working group, which will discuss the marketing strategy for the development of the wine sector and cover a 3-year period, are about to begin.

The representatives of the branch organizations pointed out that it is necessary to have predictability when opening the measures, that the applications be processed quickly, and that the schedule be consistent with the activities and workload of the producers during the economic year.

They gave a positive assessment of the planned interventions and pointed out that for the first time the administration maintains a unified position with the sector.

The participants in the Standing Working Group presented their views on the possibility of investment in processing and the conditions under which grape growers can apply to make their own cellars with funding under the Strategic Plan.
