The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, said that the funds from

the International Monetary Fund

will be directed to priority expenses, namely the payment of pensions, salaries of teachers and doctors, as well as social payments to the population.

The prime minister announced this at a government meeting, the Uryad online Telegram channel informs.

He reminded that the International Monetary Fund recently approved a $15.6 billion financing program for Ukraine.

"Yesterday, the first tranche in the amount of $2.7 billion has already arrived in the state budget. We will immediately direct these funds to the financing of priority expenses, including pensions, social benefits, salaries of teachers and doctors," Shmyhal said.

It will be recalled that it was previously reported that Ukraine promised the IMF 

to withdraw from the emergency measures in the economy introduced since the beginning of the war

and to prepare a strategy for transition to a flexible exchange rate.

In addition, we previously reported that on March 31, the IMF Executive Board approved a 

$15.6 billion financing program for Ukraine.
