During the meeting, the 14th board of directors and supervisors were successfully elected, and a new chairman was elected. Hou Yongqing, senior vice general manager of TSMC, served as the representative of the leading factory TSMC continues to lead Taiwan's semiconductor industry, and the industry interprets that Hou Yongqing may also be TSMC's new generation successor.

Hou Yongqing is a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Syracuse University in New York. He is currently the senior deputy general manager of TSMC's Eurasian business and technology research.
