Disney plans to fold Marvel Entertainment into Disney Entertainment, the company's content production arm.

[Financial Channel/Comprehensive Report] Foreign media quoted sources as reporting that Disney (Disney) fired Isaac Ike Perlmutter, chairman of Marvel Entertainment (Marvel Entertainment), which was in charge of comic book publishing and consumer products, as part of measures to cut operating costs.

According to comprehensive media reports, in addition to Zak Perlmutter, Disney also fired Marvel Entertainment's co-president Rob Steffens and chief legal counsel John Turitzin.

Marvel Entertainment CEO Dan Buckley will remain in the role and will report to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

A Disney spokesperson confirmed the layoffs at Marvel Entertainment but declined to comment further.
