There are over 10,000 job vacancies in the IT sector and outsourcing services in Bulgaria.

This was announced in Veliko Tarnovo by the Association for Innovations, Business Services and Technologies.

The high-tech business in our country forms 6 percent of the country's gross domestic product.

Representatives of the association, in which more than 50 international companies based in Bulgaria are members, met today with students and schoolchildren from Veliko Tarnovo who are interested in working in the high-tech sector.

With the possibility of working with remote access and the growth of the IT services sector, the shortage of personnel has become serious, commented Petar Tornev and Natalia Georgieva from the association:

"In general, one cannot reproduce so many frames in such a short time because the work is too much," Tornev pointed out.

"Companies from our industry spend a lot of time and resources on staff training," added Georgieva.

More than 90 companies in the IT sector work in Veliko Tarnovo, Mayor Daniel Panov pointed out:

"Our job is to promote the work of companies looking for specialists in this sector."

Thanks to the contracts with outsourcing companies, the University of Veliko Tarnovo was saved from the financial crisis it was in, explained the rector, Prof. Hristo Bonjolov.

The companies announced starting salaries of BGN 3,000, which, with growth in the hierarchy, reach BGN 10,000.
