Following the "A800", the company is providing another new advanced chip "H800" for China.

[Financial Channel/Comprehensive Report] Semiconductor design company NVIDIA (NVIDIA) said on Tuesday (21st) that in order to legally export chips to China, it has specially designed a special version of the chip "H800".

U.S. regulators last year banned Huida from selling its two most advanced flagship chips "A100" and "H100" to China on the grounds of national security concerns. These chips are essential for the development of generative artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT developed by OpenAI. Words are very important.

A spokesman for Huida said that the company has developed a chip called "H800" similar to "H100".

In November last year, Huida had already designed the "A800" castrated version of "A100". In order to export to China, Huida reduced some chip functions of "A800".

According to a Chinese chip industry source, "H800" reduces the data transfer rate between chips to about half of that of "H100".

A Huida spokesman declined to disclose any differences between "H800" and "H100", only saying that "our chip series products fully comply with export control regulations."

CEO Jensen Huang said: "For young startups, many of whom are now building large language models, many of whom are jumping into the generative AI revolution, they can look forward to Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu relying on Huida's artificial intelligence. Wisdom has excellent cloud capabilities."
