Among the 171 countries and regions tracked and surveyed, Taiwan's degree of globalization ranks 17th in the world, which is 2 places higher than the 2020 report (19th), and 7 places higher than the 2019 (24th) before the epidemic.

This survey is the first comprehensive scientific assessment report on the development of globalization during the epidemic.

The Global Connectivity Index tracks the four key international flows of 171 countries and regions, including trade flows, capital flows, information flows and people flows.

The DHL Global Connectivity Index has been published regularly since 2011.

According to the latest report, even after being hit by events such as the new crown epidemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, international flows have shown resilience in the past two years.

After experiencing a slight decline in 2020, the DHL Global Connectivity Index will start to rise in 2021 and surpass the pre-pandemic level.

Although the growth of some flows has slowed down, overall growth will continue in 2022.

The survey showed that by mid-2022, international trade in goods was 10% higher than pre-pandemic levels.

Among them, international travel in 2022 is 37% lower than in 2019, but it has doubled compared to 2021.
