(Central News Agency) Reuters quoted three people familiar with the matter as saying that the Dutch government will inform parliament as soon as today that the government plans to develop other regulations to control the export of semiconductor technology to protect national security.

Reuters reported that the United States imposed chip export control measures on China in October last year, aiming to curb China's semiconductor manufacturing capabilities and slow down China's military development.

The measure follows months of discussions between the Dutch government and the United States, which is trying to push its allies to adopt similar chip export controls against China, as well as Japan.

In early February, U.S. officials acknowledged the existence of an agreement between Washington and Japan and the Netherlands to impose a new ban on semiconductor manufacturing equipment exported to China.
