In January, beer imports hit a new high in more than three years, with an annual increase of 315%.

"Yonhap News Agency" reported that South Korea imported US$2.004 million (approximately NT$61.8634 million) of beer from Japan in January, an annual increase of 314.9%, the highest single-month figure since July 2019.

South Korea's Japanese beer imports reached US$4.342 million (approximately NT$134 million) in July 2019, but was affected by the boycott movement, leaving only US$6,000 (approximately NT$185,200) in September of the same year. The anti-Japanese sentiment has gradually passed, and the import volume of Japanese beer has been increasing. In March 2022, it exceeded 1 million US dollars (about 30.87 million NT dollars), and in January this year, it returned to above 2 million US dollars (about 61.74 million NT dollars). .

Coincidentally, FRL Korean company, which specializes in importing and selling Japanese UNIQLO (UNIQLO), will have an annual sales growth of 20.9% and operating profit growth of 116.8% in 2021 (September 2021 to August 2022).

The company's sales in 2018 amounted to 1.381 trillion won (approximately NT$35.547 billion), but affected by the boycott, only 582.4 billion won (approximately NT$14.99 billion) remained in 2020.

The same is true for automobiles. According to the data of the Korea Imported Automobile Association, the number of newly licensed Lexus (1,344) and Toyota (695) in February this year increased by 183% and 149% respectively. The growth trend is obvious.
