[Reporter Chen Meiying/Taipei Report] Chen Nanguang, vice president of the central bank, resigned before his term expired. He was dismissed, and Zhu Meili, an adjunct professor of the Economics Department of National Chengchi University, was appointed as the vice president of the central bank.

According to the Central Bank Law, the position of vice president of the central bank is the 14th rank of the senior position. The term of office is 5 years, and the appointment can be renewed upon expiration.

Zhu Meili's term of office will start on March 5 and end on March 4, 2028.

The new vice president, Zhu Meili, aged 67, graduated from the Economics Department of National Taiwan University, a master's degree from the Institute of International Trade, National Chengchi University, and a master's and doctorate degree from the Institute of Economics, Ohio State University.

Served as professor and dean of the Department of Economics, National Chengchi University, deputy dean of the School of Social Sciences, dean of student affairs, and vice president; served as a member of the 17th to 19th board of directors (August 1, 1997 to 109 January 26); Familiar with international finance, overall economy and international financial markets.
