On Ukrainian markets and in stores, the price of white

rose rapidly .

Prices have doubled in the last week alone.

This was reported by the analysts of the EastFruit project.

Ukrainian producers offer cabbage for sale from 12 to 18 hryvnias per kilogram.

It is emphasized that, on average, it is two times more expensive than a week earlier.

There are several reasons why the price of a vegetable has changed in the market.

The reduction in supply, as well as the high demand for cabbage, allows producers to raise prices.

According to the producers, the weather conditions also adversely affected the yield and quality of cabbage.

"The price of white cabbage in Ukraine has already reached the level of prices in the same period last year. At the same time, local farmers plan to continue to make attempts to increase selling prices in this segment," analysts emphasize.

Currently, tomatoes produced in Turkey are on sale in the range of UAH 85-100 per kg.

This cost is on average 16% higher than a week earlier.
