Despite the war, SCM enterprises invest in Ukraine and develop production, creating new jobs.

This was stated by the company's owner, Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov, in an interview with the American magazine Forbes.

According to him, his companies, despite the full-scale invasion, extract gas, coal and iron ore, and produce much-needed electricity.

All this helps Ukraine to develop.

Thus, the DTEK company purchased a license for gas exploration in the Poltava region at a transparent auction and plans to invest more than 20 million dollars in the development of this field.

The publication Forbes calculated that in 2022, SCM enterprises replenished the state budget of Ukraine by 2 billion dollars.

The businessman said that the board and supervisory boards have to work 24/7 during martial law, because the company carries out repair work, provides electricity to Ukrainians, and produces bulletproof vests for our defenders.

That is, enterprises remain financially stable and pay taxes to the state budget.

Another contribution of SCM to the defense of Ukraine was also noted: more than 13,000 company employees joined the ranks of the Armed Forces and the National Guard.

To date, the war has claimed the lives of 517 company employees, and another 1,000 have been injured.

The company provides financial and other assistance to them and their families.

We will remind you that Akhmetov has been in Ukraine since the first day of the full-scale war, he does not plan to go abroad until the victory of the Armed Forces.

During the martial law, his enterprises provided the defenders of Ukraine with armor, bulletproof vests, engineering structures made of steel;

drones, thermal imagers, etc. are bought for military needs.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the businessman's fund and "Shakhtar" have transferred more than UAH 5 billion to support the Armed Forces and rubber aid.

In addition, the businessman allocated UAH 1 billion to the defenders of Mariupol as part of the "Heart of Azovstal" project.
