[Reporter Wang Menglun/Taipei Report] DHL International Express announced today that it will provide customers with "GoGreen Plus Service" to help customers reduce logistics-related carbon emissions through sustainable aviation fuel transportation solutions.

DHL emphasizes that "sustainable aviation fuel" is refined from waste oil and kitchen waste, which can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 80% compared with "traditional aviation fuel".

DHL said the industry-first service will be launched in the UK and later in Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Australia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.

From this month, customers in these regions can choose the GoGreen Plus plan through the MyDHL+ online platform.

In the next few months, the service scope of GoGreen Plus will gradually expand to DHL International Express’s global bases, providing flexible logistics solutions, and customers can determine the carbon emission reduction value and the usage of sustainable aviation fuel for individual shipments.

Recently, DHL has launched sustainable aviation fuel transactions with "bp" and "Neste". This strategic cooperation has accelerated the launch of "GoGreen Plus service".

Sustainable aviation fuel is refined from waste such as waste oil and kitchen waste.

"Sustainable aviation fuel is currently the main measure to reduce carbon emissions in the aviation industry, and it is also the most effective way to help customers achieve a sustainable supply chain."

John Pearson, Global CEO of DHL International Express, said that we are aware of our customers' commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. Therefore, we are very pleased that the investment in sustainable aviation fuel can help customers reduce carbon emissions in logistics and transportation.

This "GoGreen Plus service" is an important measure for the parent company Deutsche Post DPDHL Group to fulfill its sustainable commitment to zero carbon emissions in 2050, and to help the group accelerate its mid-term goal of using 30% sustainable aviation fuel by 2030.

According to DPDHL's sustainable development blueprint, the group plans to launch green logistics products in all subsidiaries.
