Mumbai:

The stock market is seeing some boom on the first trading day of the week.

There is a gain of 44 points in the Sensex which is trading in the green mark, it is trading at 60727.

Nifty also has a gain of 22 points and is trading at 17878. 

Let us tell you that on Friday, the local stock market declined due to selling pressure in the shares of metal and energy companies and the Sensex lost 124 points.

A sluggish trend in global markets also weighed on sentiment here.

Traders said that the rise in crude oil prices and selling by foreign investors is affecting the market sentiment.

The BSE's 30-share Sensex took a 'break' in the continuation of its two-day rise and came down to 60,682.70 points with a loss of 123.52 points or 0.20 per cent.

During the day's trading, the Sensex went up to a high of 60,774.14 points and came down to a low of 60,501.74 points.

The National Stock Exchange's Nifty also came down to 17,856.50 points with a loss of 36.95 points or 0.21 percent.
