, the son of the former ambassador of Belarus to Ukraine,

Valentin Vyalichka, was arrested.

This became known from the published court decision, in which the Belfert Ukraina company tried to cancel the seizure of some products imported to Ukraine for sale.

This company started working on the market of Ukraine in 2003.

At that time, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Ukraine was Valyantyn Vyalichka (he died in 2018, and headed the Belarusian embassy from 2001 to 2016. — RS).

The founder of the enterprise was initially the Belarusian State Oil and Chemical Concern, and later "Belarusian Oil Trading House" and Navapolat "Naftan", and when sanctions were introduced against the last two enterprises, the Gomel Chemical Plant became the owner of the company.

The statute provides for a wide scope of the company's activities — wholesale trade in chemical and agricultural products (milk, eggs, edible oils, grain), petroleum products, tobacco, freight transportation, leasing of agricultural machinery, and even research into market conditions and public opinion.

The criminal case is being investigated by the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

It was instituted on April 20, 2022, under Part 3 of Article 258-5 and Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing of terrorism and deliberate tax evasion, respectively).

These actions are punishable by a large fine and imprisonment for a term of 10 to 12 years with the deprivation of the right to engage in a certain type of activity.

"Belfert Ukraina" company was included in the list of the largest taxpayers of Ukraine.

She was in 193rd place.

The Belarusian company "BNK-Ukraine" took 27th place, and "BZT-Ukraine" took 205th place, according to the company "Opendatabot", which is engaged in the analysis of open data in Ukraine.

The assets of these companies were also seized some time after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The Belarusian government supported Russian aggression against Ukraine and gave Russian troops territory to invade and shell Ukrainian cities, as well as all military infrastructure.

"BNK-Ukraine"

The case of the company "BNK-Ukraine" is being investigated by the Podolsk District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv.

It was instituted under Part 2 of Article 110-2 (financing of actions committed with the aim of violently changing or overthrowing the constitutional order, seizure of state power, changing the borders of the territory or the state border of Ukraine), as well as under Part 5 of Article 191 (appropriation of property through abuse official powers, committed under martial law).

According to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, such crimes are punishable by 2 to 12 years of imprisonment with a ban on holding responsible positions.

All assets have now been transferred to the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Managing Assets Proceeds from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA).

Now the court is hearing the company's bankruptcy case.

"BZT-Ukraine"

"BZT-Ukraine" is a subsidiary of the under-sanctioned Belarusian enterprise "Belazamezhgandal".

In Belarus, it was created in 2014 by the Presidential Administration, the "daughter" in Ukraine started working in January 2017.

The Security Service of Ukraine opened a case under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional actions aimed at helping the aggressor state, armed formations of the occupation administrations, committed by a citizen of Ukraine, a foreigner or a stateless person with the aim of harming Ukraine).

These actions are punishable by imprisonment for a term of 10 to 12 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for 10 to 15 years with or without confiscation.

Russia's war against Ukraine

  • At 5 o'clock in the morning on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a military operation against Ukraine in the Donbass at the request of the "DPR" and "LPR" groups.

    On February 21, during a televised address to Russians, Putin called the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" independent states within the regions.
