Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presenting Budget 2023

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the Budget 2023 in the Parliament House.

In his budget speech, he said that the central government provided free food grains to 80 crore poor people during the Kovid-19 (Covid 19) epidemic and ensured that no person in the country remains hungry.

He said that at the time of global challenges, we have an opportunity to strengthen India's role in the global system by getting the chairmanship of G20.

The Finance Minister said that under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAYA), the government is implementing a scheme to provide free food grains to poor people, on which an expenditure of Rs 2 lakh crore will be incurred starting from January 1.

He told that private investment in agriculture has increased to 9.3 percent in 2020-21, which was seven percent in 2019-20.

Let us tell you that for the first time, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has reached the Parliament House to present the budget with a red tablet. 

In his budget speech so far, the Finance Minister said that preference is being given to the underprivileged.

Agriculture credit card will be increased by 20 lakh crores.

6,000 crores will be given for PM Matsya Yojana.

In 2022, 126 lakh crore has been paid through UPI.
