In Ukraine, from February 1, an additional monthly payment of UAH 30,000 will be canceled for servicemen who are far in the rear, outside the combat zone and do not perform tasks in the east, south or north of the country.
At the same time, they promise to raise the salary of the military.
This is stated in a joint statement of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, published on the website of the Ministry of Defense.
It was explained there that from now on, payments will depend directly on the areas where servicemen are stationed, the complexity and specifics of the combat or special tasks they perform.
"We emphasize that combat
payments of 100,000 hryvnias per month
will be preserved for Ukrainian fighters who are fighting the enemy on the front lines. The same applies to the families of prisoners and missing persons - payment of rewards in the amount of 100,000 hryvnias for them will also be preserved," - stated in the statement.
Changes to payments of UAH 30,000 will affect exclusively:
military personnel and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who are outside the combat zone in different regions of Ukraine,
conscripts and cadets of VVNIZ,
officers of departments and headquarters,
as well as some other categories.
At the same time, the statement informs that
the monthly salary of military personnel will be increased
so that the minimum level for the Armed Forces, the National Guard and the State Security Service is at
least UAH 20,100
;
for members of the rank and file staff of the State Emergency Service and the National Police - at the level of
at least 17,000 hryvnias
.
The decision to change the payment of UAH 30,000 in the Security and Defense Forces was explained by the need to optimize State Budget expenditures and establish a fair financial reward for those who perform tasks in combat areas, but do not take direct part in the fighting.
"For example: as of now, all military personnel, including conscripts and cadets, in various regions of Ukraine receive an additional monetary reward in the fixed amount of 30,000 hryvnias. At the same time, soldiers who, risking their lives, perform tasks in combat areas, but do not receive directly participating in battles with the enemy, receive absolutely the same additional payments - 30 thousand hryvnias," the statement reads.
We will remind that wounded military personnel can receive a one-time financial aid.
What its size depends on, what documents are required to obtain it, read in the TSN.ua article.
