U.S. crude oil production will increase over the next 10 years or so, reaching between 11 and 16 million barrels per day by the end of the decade, according to a study by British Petroleum (BP) published on the oil and gas corporation's website. .

Two South American countries will also increase their oil production during this period - Brazil (to about 5 million barrels per day) and Guyana (to about 2 million barrels per day).

The oil production of the countries of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), as well as of most of the countries that are not members of it, will decrease during this period, predicts "British Petroleum".

Imports of Russian oil into the EU have shrunk

Over the entire period until 2050, oil production in Russia is declining, according to the study.

It is projected to decline from 11.5 million barrels per day in 2019 to 5.5-6.5 million barrels per day in 2035 and to 2.5 million barrels per day or even less in 2050.

Between 2030 and 2040, U.S. oil production is expected to decline due to depletion of oil fields, while those of OPEC countries are expected to increase.

The organization adopts a more competitive strategy against the background of the accelerating decline in oil demand, the authors of the study note, writes BTA.
