Europe's leading stock markets opened today's trading session with growth, supported by growing economic optimism on the continent, reports CNBC.

The London FTSE 100 rose by 26.32 points or 0.34 percent to 7,771.19 points at 11:00 Bulgarian time.


In Frankfurt, the DAX added 30.73 points, or 0.20 percent, to 15,112.37.

Divergent start to stock trading in Europe

The Paris CAC 40 rose 50.57 points, or 0.72 percent, to 7,094.45.

The pan-European Stoxx 600 registered an increase of 0.6 percent, with all sectors and exchanges glowing green, and the most serious was the growth of companies from the financial services sector - 1.1 percent.

Markets are getting a boost from good data from Germany and the eurozone as a whole, fueling optimism that a recession can be avoided.
