The company has decided to reduce its CEO Tim Cook's salary by more than 40% to $49 million for the year 2023.

At the same time, last year i.e. in 2022, Tim Cook earned $ 99.4 million.

In which basic salary was $ 3 million, $ 83 million in the form of stock award and bonus amount was also included.

In the year 2022, his salary was slightly more than in the year 2021.

His total salary package in 2021 was $ 98.7 million.

The iPhone maker company has told in a regulatory filing on Thursday that the percentage of Apple's performance-linked stock units now held by Tim Cook will increase from 50% to 75% in 2023.
