〔Reporter Zhang Huiwen/Taipei Report〕For the most challenging problems of solar photovoltaics, the lack of feeder capacity and substation arch space, the Energy Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs announced in November last year to promote the "common booster station". Yongxin Energy announced that the group's Yongqi Energy and Guangyu Energy completed the grid connection of the first common step-up station in Taiwan.

Due to insufficient feeders for solar power plants, the Energy Bureau promoted the "common booster station" last year, and approved 19 common booster stations, providing a shared capacity of 1912.25MW.

Li Hao, chairman of Yongxin Energy, said that Yongxin Energy is one of the first energy manufacturers to respond to the joint step-up station, and will continue to cooperate with Taiwan's power grid planning in the future to accelerate the development of Taiwan's renewable energy industry.

Li Hao pointed out that the first common booster station in Taiwan is located in Dongshi, Chiayi. There are two existing and new ones. The capacity of the existing booster station is about 80MW. The date of joining the system is January 6, 2021. The installer is Guangyu Energy. After the completion of the year, the grid-connected capacity will be about 50MW, and Yongqi Energy will be the tenant. The grid-connected capacity will be about 9MW in 2022, and it is expected to be connected to the grid in 2023. About 1.5MW; the new booster station will have a capacity of 20MW, and the date of joining the system will be December 2022. On March 20th, it was set up by Yongqi Energy, and the grid-connected capacity currently in use is about 1.5MW.

Chen Biyang, CEO of Yongxin, said that the common booster station is a new policy, and the initial investment is relatively large, so many operators are holding a wait-and-see attitude. This time, the completion of the first common booster station in Taiwan is believed to drive many operators In the future, Yongxin Energy will continue to focus on developing larger-scale solar energy projects.
