Saudi Arabia is interested in a joint investment in the construction of a dairy farm in Bulgaria, with the potential for it to become the largest in the country and the region.

The milk produced will be processed entirely in our country, and the products will be export-oriented for the Persian Gulf region.

This became clear during a meeting between the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov

Nikola Stoyanov was born in 1976 in Sofia.

He graduated in Law at Sofia University and the management of one of the largest companies in Saudi Arabia in the food industry.

The meeting was also attended by the chairman of the board of directors of "LB Bulgaricum", Nevena Petrova, who presented the Bulgarian company and its production, reports the press center of the ministry.

The Saudi company currently also manages a farm where about 190,000 cows are bred - approximately as many as all registered cows in Bulgaria.

Exchange of experience and joint investment between them and "LB Bulgaricum" is a project on which work has started.

A visit of company representatives to our country is expected to detail parameters and discuss the specific possibilities.

"Bulgaria is interested in attracting a strategic partner that will give us the opportunity to regain markets that we are familiar with, but have lost over the years," stressed Minister Nikola Stoyanov

Bulgarian dairy foods, and cheese in particular, were a favorite product for a large part of the local population, it became clear during the meeting.

In an attempt to revive this tradition, the company has started selling in Saudi Arabia and the region cheese under the "Bulgaria" brand.

According to their data, the production produced in Bulgaria is gaining an increasing market share in the Persian Gulf.

Building a joint farm with "LB Bulgaricum" and starting joint production is an opportunity both to expand the presence of the Saudi company in the region and to enter the single European market.

Saudi Arabia is also interested in investing in the construction of a cargo airport in our country.

This was discussed during a meeting with the management of the National Fund for Industrial Development and Logistics (NIDLP).

On the Bulgarian side, the ministers Nikola Stoyanov participated in it
