Unemployment in the European Union in November 2022 remains at the same level as in October - 6.0 percent, taking seasonal factors into account.

It decreases compared to November 2021, when it was 6.5 percent, according to the latest Eurostat data, BTA reported.

In the Eurozone, seasonally adjusted unemployment in November also remained at the October 2022 level of 6.5 percent, down from November 2021 when it was 7.1 percent.

In Bulgaria, seasonally adjusted unemployment in November 2022 remains at the same level that was recorded in October - 4.0 percent.

129,000 people are registered as unemployed.

In November 2021, unemployment in our country was 4.7 percent.

Native youth unemployment (persons under 25 years of age) in November 2022 rose to 10.9 percent (about 14,000 people), seasonally adjusted, at 10.6 percent in October.

However, on an annual basis, youth unemployment in Bulgaria is decreasing significantly, and in September 2021 it was 18.0 percent.

According to Eurostat estimates, 12.95 million women and men in the EU, of which nearly 10.85 million in the euro area, were unemployed in November last year.

Compared to the previous month (October), the unemployed in the European Union increased by 10,000 people, and in the Eurozone they decreased by 2,000 people.

Compared to November 2021, the unemployed decreased by 875,000 thousand in the EU, and by 846,000 people in the euro area alone.

The EU countries with the lowest number of unemployed persons in November 2022 were the Czech Republic (2.7 percent), followed by Germany and Poland (3.0 percent each).

Unemployment remains the highest in Spain (12.4 percent) and in Greece (11.4 percent).

Seasonally adjusted youth unemployment in November 2022 reported 2.88 million unemployed youth (under the age of 25) in the EU, of which 2.35 million were in the euro area.
