In fact, this week the direction of the Indian stock market will be decided by the inflation on the domestic front, the Index of industrial production i.e. IIP data.

Apart from this, the quarterly results of IT sector companies will also give direction to the market.

Stock market analysts have given this opinion.

He said that global trends, rupee fluctuations, Brent crude oil prices and foreign funds will also be important for the market. 

Last week, the 30-share Sensex of BSE was at a loss of 940.37 or 1.55 percent.

The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was in loss of 245.85 points or 1.36 percent.

Santosh Meena, Head of Research, Swastika Investmart, said, "This week many important macroeconomic data are coming.

Inflation data based on IIP and Consumer Price Index will be released on January 12.

China and America will also release their inflation data on the same day. Meena said that the quarterly results season will start with IT companies.

TCS, Infosys and HCL Tech will announce their quarterly results this week.

Milind M, executive director of Julier Bayer India, said that Indian stock markets started the new year with a cautious approach.

The same trend was seen in the markets, which was in the last month of last year i.e. December.

He said that inflation and continuous withdrawal of foreign funds have affected the market sentiment.

At the same time, Vinod Nair, head of research at Geojit Financial Services, said that after the release of the minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting, the risk appetite of investors has been affected.

This detail has indicated a further increase in interest rates in 2023.

Nair said that this week IT sector companies TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech and Wipro will announce their quarterly results. On January 12, IIP and CPI figures will come.

Ajit Mishra, vice-president, technical research, Religare Broking Limited, said that apart from domestic factors, everyone will be watching the trend of the global market.

Apart from this, Apoorva Seth of Samco Securities said that this week market participants will keep an eye on the inflation data of America and China.
