In the first week of 2023, the prices of the main grain contracts on the world stock markets are going down without exception, report the experts of the Sofia Commodity Exchange, BTA reported.
In the US, bread wheat fell by $12 to $329 per ton, in France it fell by €9 to €307 per ton, and in Ukraine its price fell by $10 to $285 per ton.
Quotations of Russian wheat remained unchanged at the level of 305 dollars per ton.
Corn is also trending downward in prices.
In the USA, the decrease is by 13 dollars to 307 dollars per ton, in France - by 10 euros to 295 euros per ton, in Russia corn is again with zero change or 250 dollars per ton.
The price of barley in France, which experienced a significant decrease for the last month, now continued more easily - by minus 3 euros to 279 euros per ton, in Russia once again the old values of 272 dollars per ton remained.
The price of rapeseed on the Euronext exchange is volatile and this week fell by 17 euros to 583 euros per ton.
Crude sunflower oil on the Rotterdam exchange lost $15 to $1,265 a tonne, while the price of refined sugar fell most notably, down $27.10 to $534.70 a tonne on the London exchange.
At the Sofia Commodity Exchange, grain quotes are the same as in December.
There is an offer of bread wheat from a producer at a starting price of BGN 660/ton.
There are requests for the purchase of oilseed sunflower from a location at BGN 950/ton.
All prices are without VAT.
Energy carriers were traditionally actively traded on SSB: E5 diesel fuel was sold in a range from BGN 2,280 to BGN 2,864.96/thousand liters, boiler fuel, excluding excise duty and VAT, at BGN 814.62/ton.
Potassium iodide (tablets) was bought at BGN 0.48 per unit.
