The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, said that the Ukrainian economy had adapted to the wartime conditions, and specific results had been achieved in each direction, which should bring victory closer.

The head of the government published the summary information for 2022 on his Facebook page.

"Last year, the state and all Ukrainians laid a solid foundation for our victory," he noted.

Defense of Ukraine

The following results were achieved in this direction:

  • record financing of the security sector - more than UAH 1.2 trillion;

  • an effective mechanism for assistance to Ukraine - the "Ramstein" format, in which 50 states are involved;

  • application for joining NATO.

    Membership in the Alliance is a guarantee of peace for future generations.

  • "The Ukrainian army is one of the most capable in Europe and the world.

    We are making it stronger every day," the prime minister assured.

Economy

During the war, the following measures were taken to support the economy:

  • maintained control over economic and financial processes;

  • attracted $31.2 billion in support from international partners.

    First of all, these are the funds of the USA, the European Union and the IMF.

    45% of them are grants.

  • 2/3 of all budget funds are our internal resources.

    Everyone who paid taxes, duties, bought war bonds contributed to our victory;

  • improved existing and launched new business support programs: soft loans "5-7-9%" (72 billion UAH), YeRobota grants (2.2 billion UAH), portfolio guarantees (47 billion UAH);

  • canceled almost all business inspections, transferred the majority of permits and licenses to the declarative principle, set the single tax rate at 2%;

  • relocated more than 700 enterprises to safe territories, saved thousands of jobs;

  • helped open access for Ukrainian goods to new markets: the EU, Great Britain, Canada and Australia canceled import duties for our exporters;

  • UAH 80 billion of credit funds were issued to farmers.

    Helped them sow and harvest - more than 60 million tons;

  • thanks to the "grain initiative" 15 million tons of agricultural products were exported, and another 10 million tons were exported through the Danube ports;

  • compared to March, fuel imports increased 10 times, which eased the fuel crisis.

"Battles are won by armies, and wars by economies.

The Ukrainian economy has adapted to the wartime conditions and is ready for new challenges," says Denys Shmyhal

Energy

"The enemy will not leave us without light.

We will not only endure, but also make our energy system more modern and reliable," the Prime Minister promised, listing the following results:

  • the power system withstood ten major attacks and dozens of smaller ones;

  • attracted 1.5 billion dollars for its restoration.

    Every day, new equipment and means of generation arrive in Ukraine;

  • 14.5 billion cubic meters of gas and 1.5 million tons of coal were available at the start of the heating season, there are opportunities to replenish the resource;

  • have created more than 11,000 "Points of Invincibility" throughout Ukraine, the network is constantly expanding.

European integration

According to Denys Shmygal, not only Ukraine needs to become a part of a big European family, but all of Europe needs it.

For this, the following steps were taken:

  • received the status of a candidate state for EU membership;

  • we have the prospect of starting negotiations on joining the European Union as early as 2023;

  • received five so-called "visa-free" with the European Union: energy, transport, economic, customs, digital.

Social policy

During the war, the state helped citizens who needed social support.

In particular, the following steps were taken for this purpose:

  • the state fulfilled all obligations to citizens;

  • UAH 30 billion were paid out under the eSupport program;

  • 11 million pensioners receive pensions, they are indexed - increased by 16%;

  • IDPs received UAH 53 billion;

  • tariffs for communal services were not increased, and 2.5 million families are charged with housing subsidies.

"The state helps those who really need it, while simultaneously creating conditions for self-realization of Ukrainians," Denys Shmyhal stressed.

We will remind you that in the new year 2023, the government will continue to support the Ukrainian agricultural sector, which has shown its effective work since the beginning of the full-scale war with the Russian invaders.
