On Tuesday, December 27, the price of gas in Europe fell for the first time to the level of the start of a full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine.

This is the first time since 2022.

This is reported by Bloomberg.

TTF gas futures in the Netherlands fell another 3.6% after falling last week.

Gas prices have fallen due to warm weather and the fact that EU gas storage facilities are full.

Also, the price of gas is affected by wind generation in Germany, which makes it possible to keep the situation stable.

Gas prices in the Netherlands for the previous month fell by 0.8% to 82.34 euros per megawatt-hour.

Last week, the value fell by almost 30%.

We will remind, according to the American media,

repairs on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines will cost at least half a billion US dollars.

Also, on December 19, the energy ministers of the EU countries approved a cap on gas prices, which will be introduced if the basic gas prices rise to 180 euros per megawatt-hour.
