Increase the salary of state employees

From January 1 next year, the budget rate will increase by 16 rubles (plus 7.5%), it will amount to 228 rubles.

Salaries of state employees are tied to the basic rate, as well as subsidies and other compensatory payments, which will also increase.

Raise the minimum wage

From the beginning of the year, the minimum wage will increase to 71 rubles.

Now the minimum wage in Belarus is 483.17 rubles.

At the beginning of the year, the minimum was equal to 457 rubles, and after the increase, it will increase to 554 rubles.

Thus, compared to January, the minimum wage will increase by 21%.

This is about 6–7% higher than the official annual inflation rate.

Increase family capital

Family capital in 2023 will increase immediately by 4,341 rubles and will amount to 30,336 rubles.

The result is an increase of 17%.

Family capital was introduced in Belarus on January 1, 2015: upon the birth of the third and subsequent children, the family received $10,000 as a deposit, so that after the child's 18th birthday, this money could be used to improve housing conditions, education, social services, protection health.

Grow a communal house

Next year, Belarus is going to raise the price of housing and communal services twice.

First from January 1, and then again from June 1.

According to officials, the increase will be no more than 13-15 rubles.

New taxes

From the new year, the tax burden will increase in Belarus.

In particular, starting in 2023:

  • cancel a number of tax benefits;

  • to index the rates of land, environmental tax, personal income tax in fixed amounts to adapt them to inflationary processes;

  • increase the income tax rate for legal entities from 18 to 20 percent and the income tax for individual entrepreneurs from 16 to 20 percent;

  • for individual entrepreneurs, they plan to raise the income tax from 16% to 20%.

Also, they want to exclude from the Tax Code certain types of activities for which sole proprietors can work with a single tax.

The government of Belarus has determined who in 2023 will be able to switch to the tax on professional income - a new fee that will be introduced from January 1.

The list of these types of activities is approved by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 851.

The new tax will also be introduced for self-employed individuals who have professional income from their activities, but are not registered as individual entrepreneurs.

Professional income tax rates are set at 10% of revenue when working with individuals and foreign legal entities, regardless of revenue.

When working with Belarusian business entities - 10% if the revenue does not exceed 60,000 Belarusian rubles and 20% from income exceeding 60,000.

For natural persons registered for the first time as a payer of tax on professional income, a benefit in the form of a tax deduction in the amount of 2,000 Belarusian rubles is provided.

Even more insurance experience for pension

Work experience with payment of work contributions to the pension fund is required for a work pension - it is called work experience.

Every year it is increased by 6 months (until it reaches 20 years

, in 2022 he is 18 years and 6 months.

Accordingly, in 2023, 19 years of insurance experience will be required to receive such a pension.

For a mother of four children, 10 years of insurance experience is sufficient for the appointment of a labor pension, and for a mother of five children, 5 years.

Mandatory cash register for merchants

From the beginning of 2023, sole proprietors and legal entities "when carrying out retail trade in food products" are obliged to use cash register equipment.

The Ministry of Taxes and Fees clarifies that even sellers of agricultural goods at fairs should have cash registers.
