Natural gas in Europe fell by 6.57 percent as of 10:25 a.m. Bulgarian time today compared to the closing price last night, according to data from the London ICE exchange.

Futures for January 2023 on the TTF (TTF) hub in the Netherlands are trading at €98.75 per megawatt hour, or just over $1,005 per 1,000 cubic meters.

This morning the exchange opened at a price of 102.05 euros per megawatt hour.

The exchange closed last night at a price of 105.69 euros per megawatt hour - about 1,115 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters. 

Data from Europe's largest natural gas exchange show that since December 15, the price of the blue fuel has been decreasing every day.

Then for a megawatt hour it was 134.77 euros or 1435 dollars for 1000 cubic meters.

BTA recalls that the largest price peak so far on the leading European gas exchange was reported on August 26 - 346.52 euros per megawatt hour or about 3500 dollars per 1000 cubic meters.

Natural gas in Europe has become cheaper by more than 3%

Natural gas of "Gas Hub Balkan" in the "day ahead" segment with a delivery day for today decreased by 0.48 percent (193.41 BGN per megawatt hour) compared to its price with a delivery day for yesterday (192.48 leva per megawatt hour). 

The trading data of the Bulgarian gas exchange show that after December 15th, the price in our country also decreased - at that time, 1 megawatt of natural gas was sold for BGN 204.41.

After that, the blue fuel became cheaper, only on the 19th it rose in price to BGN 201.03 per megawatt hour, but then its price fell below BGN 200.
