The "Reconstruction Army" involved 3,314

unemployed people

in the reconstruction of the country.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy with reference to the deputy minister Tetiana Berezhna.

"We involve people who have temporarily lost their jobs in the reconstruction of the country and thus give them the opportunity to become employed and receive at least UAH 6,700 for performing socially useful work. To date, 3,314 unemployed people are already doing such work in nine oblasts ", - said the Deputy Minister of Economy.

According to Berezhnaya, among these people there are almost equal proportions of women and men, most of them (52%) are in the prime working age of 35-50 years, they live mainly in small towns, a little less - in rural areas, have professional and technical (51%) or higher (27%) education.

"And what is important is that before they got involved in community service, they were unemployed for a long time - the employment center spent an average of more than four months looking for them. Therefore, their participation in the "Recovery Army" will give them more opportunities, because they will receive more than the average unemployment benefit for the performance of work," said the deputy minister.

Currently, socially useful works are carried out in nine regions - Sumy, Kyiv, Poltava, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Rivne, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr, Volyn.

The largest number of unemployed people were involved in Kyiv region - 770 people, Sumy region - 739 people, Poltava region - 697 people.

According to the Ministry of Economy, as of today, 18.3 million hryvnias have already been paid to the unemployed for such work.
