This decision was adopted by the National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Utilities Sector (NKREKP), Resolution No. 1603 "On Amendments to Resolution No. 393 of NKREKP dated April 20, 2022."

What does the mentioned resolution provide

Due to emergency and scheduled power outages, many Ukrainians do not have time to transmit meter readings.

"Currently, many consumers spend more time without light than with light."

"In connection with emergency and stabilization outages, situations objectively arise when it is technically impossible to transmit meter readings, while average daily consumption volumes are expected to decrease," the National Commission explained.

In this case, it would be unfair to charge for electricity according to consumption norms.

Therefore, this resolution was adopted in order to protect consumers in the event of an emergency situation in the UES of Ukraine and the forced restriction of electricity consumption caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

The electricity bill will be lower

If the consumers did not have time to transfer the meter readings, then during this period oblenergo must apply the reducing coefficient of the average daily amount of electricity used.

The coefficient will take into account the amount of electricity not delivered to the consumer.

By the 25th of each month, which is the next month after the settlement month, regional energy companies must transfer these coefficients to the NCRECP

The fee for electricity with the application of the reduction factor will be much lower.
