The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has undertaken to recommend the Ministry of Agriculture to provide financial assistance in organizing the spring edition of ProWein in 2023, because the costs for the exhibitors are very high and it is very difficult for small and medium-sized wineries to participate without financial assistance from part of our country, which is the practice of most other wine producers in Europe, the Chamber announced.

The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov expressed his confidence that the participation of Bulgarian wineries at the exhibition would be a success for the native industry.

Tsvetan Simeonov met with Bilyana Marinova, manager of the "Burgozone" Wine Cellar.

During the meeting, the history of the creation of the family boutique winery from Northwestern Bulgaria was presented.

The largest wine exhibition in the world, ProWein, which takes place in Düsseldorf every spring, was also presented.

Traders and importers from over 50 countries, as well as many global and authoritative media, participate in the exhibition.

For the Bulgarian wine industry, this exhibition is an excellent opportunity to present the unique Bulgarian wines and national identity to the world.

The production cost of a bottle of wine - 50% higher in 2022.

Wine cellar "Burgozone" is located near the town of Oryahovo, on the banks of the Danube river, overlooking the island of Esperanto.

The winery gets its name from the Roman fortress Burgozone, built on the ancient Roman road Via Istrum.

Over the centuries, the region has been celebrated as one of the main wine regions of Bulgaria.

The cellar is a three-time winner of the "Golden Cellar of Bulgaria" prize.

The winery presents a new, modern and elegant style of Bulgarian wines, which are produced from hand-picked grapes, from their own vineyards by the Danube river, are ranked among the "Best Bulgarian wines" in the most authoritative national rankings and are exported to more than 25 countries on 4 continents.

As a result of "canopy management" and green pruning, which reflect in intensive manual operations in the vineyard, yields are limited and the grapes are of the highest quality.

The winery has been awarded over 100 medals from the world's most prestigious wine competitions.

Burgozone is the only Bulgarian winery that made it into the prestigious American ranking of Wine Enthusiast Top100 Best Buys in the USA for 2022 with Pinot Noir this year.

In view of the competitiveness of the wines of the "Burgozone" cellar, Tsvetan Simeonov recommended that the activities of the winery should be popularized through the information channels of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
