The National Bank

of Ukraine appealed to banks with a proposal to establish single extended limits and cancel additional commissions for cash withdrawals by cardholders of other banks at ATMs due to problems in Ukraine's energy system.

This was reported by the press service of the NBU.

The NBU proposes to introduce "national ATM roaming", which provides for

the establishment of uniform extended limits and the cancellation of additional commissions for cash withdrawals by cardholders of other banks at ATMs.

This will expand the possibilities of prompt and convenient access of citizens to their own funds.

The largest banks have already joined this initiative, says the NBU.

"At the same time, taking into account the increased level of danger regarding the functioning of the banking system due to the limitation of electricity supply as a result of Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, separate requirements for banks have been increased, which, in particular, concern: definition of a clear list of on-call branches in each region (at least 35% of branches) , informing clients about the mode of operation of banks and their separate subdivisions, indicating the list of on-call branches, their addresses, contact telephone numbers and the schedule of work of on-call branches, etc.," the message reads.

The National Bank reminds that the regulator continues to take measures to ensure the continuity of the banking system under martial law.

Together with the banks, the Power Banking project is being implemented - a perimeter built on the basis of regular bank branches that will provide customers with financial services in conditions of a long-term lack of electricity supply.

What the NBU is preparing to do during a possible blackout

In Ukraine, a list of

760 regular bank branches

, which provide financial services even in conditions of prolonged blackout, has been determined.

The NBU also plans to create a network of about

1,000 branches with backup sources

of electricity.

In addition, the National Bank is negotiating with gas station chains so that cash can also be withdrawn from their cash registers.

"Oschadbank" canceled commissions

for withdrawing cash at ATMs from cards of all banks.

Large banks of Ukraine have decided to

increase the limit of cash withdrawals from ATMs

.

Yes, at "PrivatBank" this amount is 20 thousand hryvnias;

and in "Oschadbank" - 50 thousand hryvnias.

During the last meeting of the Headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief, the country's leadership discussed the
