After the Financial Crimes Investigation Service of Lithuania (FSIP) added the trading company of the Minsk Tractor Plant MTZ Traktorius, registered in Vilnius, to the list of sub-sanctioned companies, its head stated that it will be forced to cease operations, reports Delfi.lt.

The head of the company

, Virginius Liberis

, says that the company cannot use the funds, as a result of which it will be forced to stop its activities.

"The only available bank account in the company was closed, as a result the company was deprived of the opportunity to carry out any activity," Liberis told BNS.

The SRFP added the company to the sanctions list only in November, although the company's bank account funds were frozen as early as June, according to Liberis.

As Liberys points out, MTZ Traktorius is indirectly controlled by the Belarusian state-owned Minsk Tractor Plant: "We are, roughly speaking, Lukashenka's company."

According to the head of MTZ Traktorius, the company founded in 2020 had three employees, the only type of activity was the sale of tractors in Lithuania.

According to the data of the Lithuanian Center of Registers, the MTZ Traktorius company received 1.3 million euros of income and lost 18 thousand euros.
