The Italian multinational group Enel plans to accelerate its investment plan in Greece, not excluding the possible expansion of its activities in other sectors until 2025, reports BTA.

Unveiling its strategic plan for the period 2023-2025, the electricity and gas producer and distributor said it plans to invest up to 37 billion euros to expand its renewable energy capacity from 59 GW currently to up to 75 GW.

Enel chief executive Francesco Starasse said Greece, along with Australia, was part of a "Trusteeship Model" that would attract around 15 billion euros in investment from third countries.

This means that Enel will reach a business partnership for its future investments in the country.
