A record number of Ukrainians released from Russian captivity, and the families of those still in captivity, will receive payments of UAH 100,000 each from the state.

This is reported by the Ministry of Reintegration.

Another 465 Ukrainians who were in captivity or the families of those who are still there will receive such assistance.

Thus, the commission recognized 347 Ukrainians as deprived of their freedom as a result of Russian aggression.

Also, payments were made to 118 families of illegally imprisoned people.

All of them will be paid UAH 100,000.

"This is an unprecedented result of the decisions made at the same time during the entire period of work of the interdepartmental commission for consideration of issues related to the recognition of persons who were deprived of their freedom as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and the implementation of measures aimed at their social protection", - it is stated in messages

The Ministry of Reintegration reminded that payments are received by those who were held captive since 2014, were released or are still being held by the occupiers.

We will remind that today another exchange of prisoners took place, during which it was possible to free 107 Ukrainian soldiers, 74 of them - defenders of "Azovstal".

Earlier, the chief of staff of the "Azov" regiment, one of the defenders of "Azovstal", Bohdan Krotevich ("Tavr"), reported that about 2,000 defenders of Mariupol are still in captivity, of which 700 are "Azov".

  • On October 29, it was possible to free 52 Ukrainians - officers, medics, sergeants and soldiers.

  • On October 17, the first all-female exchange took place: 108 Ukrainian defenders were released from captivity.

  • On October 13, Ukraine released from captivity the soldiers held in Olenivka.

  • On October 11, it was possible to free 32 Ukrainian soldiers from captivity and return the body of a dead Israeli.

On September 21, Ukraine and Russia conducted a large-scale exchange of prisoners.

215 people were released from Russian captivity, including 108 Azov fighters and 10 foreign volunteers.

In response, Ukraine released 55 occupiers and the godfather of Vladimir Putin, Viktor Medvedchuk.
