Natural gas in Europe became cheaper by 3.34 percent as of 9:30 a.m. Bulgarian time today, according to data from the London ICE exchange.

November futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands are trading at €182.50 per megawatt hour, or nearly $1,800 per 1,000 cubic meters.

This morning the exchange opened at a price of 190 euros per megawatt hour.

The exchange closed on Friday evening at a price of 188.80 euros per megawatt hour.

Data from the stock exchange show that from September 28 until now, a trend of gradual decrease in the price of natural gas in Europe has been noticed.

The exchange then closed at a price of 223.06 euros per megawatt hour, or about $2,180 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Since then, however, prices have been gradually falling.

Natural gas in Europe rose nearly 6% this morning

The biggest price peak on the leading European gas exchange so far was recorded on August 26 - 346.52 euros per megawatt hour - about 3,500 dollars for 1,000 cubic meters, BTA recalls. 

On the "Gas Hub Balkan" in the "day ahead" segment, natural gas with a day of delivery for today is 3.12 percent cheaper (283.33 BGN per megawatt hour) compared to the price with a day of delivery for yesterday (292.46 leva per megawatt hour).

In the "intraday" segment, no transactions have been executed yet. 

A similar trend is also noticeable on the Bulgarian gas exchange, as well as on the European one.

Natural gas with a delivery date of September 29 was sold for BGN 369.82 per megawatt hour, but since then the price has been gradually falling.
