After raising the minimum wage

in Ukraine from October 1, 2022

to UAH 6,700,000 next year, this indicator will remain at the same level.  

In an interview with Ukrinform, the head of the Verkhovna Rada's Budget Committee, Yuriy Aristov, told about this.

This year, the minimum wage will be increased in October, the living wage - from December 1 (up to 2,684 hryvnias per month for able-bodied persons).

"We would really like to raise social standards, realizing that inflation is high in the country. But at the same time, we have a war going on, and in wartime there are very clear priorities, and the majority of the population understands this," he explained.

Also, according to him, the next year's budget provides 403 billion hryvnias for social protection, in particular, almost 233 billion hryvnias will be financed by the Pension Fund.

Almost UAH 38 billion is provided for housing and communal subsidies within the budget program of the Ministry of Social Policy.

In addition, subventions in the fields of education, health care and social protection are planned for local budgets.

It will be recalled that

the Ministry of Finance announced what the "minimum" will be from January 1.
