A number of anomalies in the distribution of pastures, meadows and meadows from the municipal and state land fund were discussed at a working meeting with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Prof. Krum Nedelkov and dozens of animal breeders from southern Bulgaria, the ministry announced.

The host of the meeting was the University of Thrace in Stara Zagora.

Livestock breeders gave concrete proposals to overcome these problems, among which priority in the allocation of pastures should be given to local breeders.

The sector wants to use geolocation data of the livestock facility from the Integrated Information System of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BAS).

In order to avoid subjectivism, the farmers insist that representatives of the branch organizations from the livestock sector participate in the commissions for the distribution of pastures.

Deputy Minister Nedelkov commented that a solution will be sought in the shortest possible period, and all changes will be consulted in advance with the branch organizations from the Livestock sector.
