The prosecutor's office seized the corporate rights of a chain of well-known hotels in Lviv and real estate worth more than UAH 55 million.

This is stated in the notification of the Prosecutor General's Office. 

According to the investigation, officials of the limited liability company, which includes a hotel chain, on the instructions of the beneficial owner, withdrew funds to the accounts of offshore companies registered in the Republic of Cyprus by concluding a number of fictitious contracts.

"Profits obtained from the operation of hotels, in particular in Lviv, were later channeled through banking and financial institutions as wages for the Russian owner. Thus,

taxes were paid to the state budget of the Russian Federation and directed to finance the war in Ukraine

," the report says.

and real estate objects, namely,

a recreation center, a plot of land and a residential building

, the ultimate beneficiary of which is a citizen of the Russian Federation.

The total amount of seized property is more than UAH 55 million.

"Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted in criminal proceedings on the facts of legalization of property obtained through crime and official forgery (Part 1 of Article 209, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office reported.
