BGN 200 million of new debt will be offered on the domestic market, it is clear from the auction announcement on the BNB website.

The Ministry of Finance offers bonds for 10 and a half years with an interest rate of 2.25 percent.

The volume is BGN 200 million, and the issue has the same maturity as the April issue.

At that time, papers for half a billion BGN were offered at an interest rate of 1.5 percent, but the ministry rejected all the orders, BNR reported.

Bulgaria took on a new debt for over 2.2 billion euros

To date, our country has taken BGN 1.8 billion from the domestic market and EUR 2.25 billion from the foreign market.

By law, this year we can take on up to BGN 10.3 billion in new debt, regardless of whether it is from the domestic or foreign market.

According to the calendar published by the Ministry of Finance, we will withdraw a little over BGN 2 billion in total from the domestic market together with the issue offered today.

A new issue on the foreign market is not expected this year.
