In the academic year 2022/2023, 422,671 children from 3,347 schools and kindergartens will receive fruits and vegetables, and dairy products will be distributed to 421,029 children covered in a total of 3,336 educational institutions.

A total of 104 applications have been approved under the European school schemes for the supply of fruits, vegetables, milk and milk products, and the list has been published on the website of the State Fund "Agriculture" - Paying Agency (DFZ - RA), the fund reports.  

In the new school year, under the "School fruit" and "School milk" schemes, children will receive not only conventionally produced fresh fruits and vegetables, milk and dairy products, but also products obtained biologically.

The little ones will eat honey again - from 3 to 6 times during the school year.

Deliveries will be made according to a previously specified and agreed upon schedule with the director of the educational institution.

DF "Agriculture" paid BGN 19.8 million for school schemes

The DFZ reminds that according to the Ordinance on the conditions and procedures for the implementation of the School Schemes (Article 15, Paragraph 9), all approved applicants may, up to 10 days after the issuance of their approval act, correct the delivery schedule provided in the fund.

The correction is made when the school days are changed by the competent authorities.

For the past academic year 2021/2022, according to the European schemes, DFZ - RA has paid a total of BGN 35 million (BGN 35,220,507).

Of these, nearly BGN 29 million (BGN 28,421,509) are for realized deliveries of fruits, vegetables, milk and dairy products, fresh fruits and vegetables to schools and kindergartens.

The remaining funds, in the amount of BGN 946,900, are for reimbursing costs for the supply of honey.

The fund also transferred BGN 5,852,098 for VAT refunds to the approved contractors.
