Natural gas rose to over $1,900 per 1,000 cubic meters in European trading today, breaking above that threshold for the first time since July 14 amid the Nord Stream situation.

This is according to data of the London ICE exchange, cited by TASS.

The price of August futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands reached $1,929 per 1,000 cubic meters or €182.5 per megawatt hour.

Since the beginning of the day, the price has risen by 3 percent.

Yesterday, gas rose in price by a total of 12 percent.

The trend is observed against the background of Gazprom's statement that it is stopping for repairs to another gas turbine engine at the Portovaya compressor station.

As a result, gas pumping through Nord Stream will almost halve from tomorrow to 33 million cubic meters per day from the current 67 million cubic meters.
