Annual inflation in May in Belarus approached a record 18%.

The state control reports on the rise in prices, but they do not stop growing.

"The main influence on inflation was the increase in the price of goods and raw materials for their production against the background of the weakening of the Belarusian ruble against the currency of the main trading partner - the Russian Federation.

The pressure on the consumer market remains due to the increase in average import prices against the background of the growth of world prices, prices in neighboring countries, countries - the main trading partners", - this is how the increase in prices is explained by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.
