The price of gas in Europe in the course of today's auctions fell below 1,750 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters, according to data from the London exchange ICE.

The drop was also due in part to calls by Germany for Canada to send the repaired turbine to Nord Stream 1 before maintenance on the pipe begins on July 11.

Prices for August futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands fell to $1,736.3 per 1,000 cubic meters or €165.6 per megawatt hour.

The drop compared to yesterday's prices, which exceeded 1,950 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters, is about 9 percent.
