The price of natural gas in Europe fell by nearly 3 percent by 10:45 Bulgarian time, according to data from the ICE exchange.

At the moment, the April futures of the TTF hub in the Netherlands are trading at 111.20 euros per megawatt-hour or about 1,200 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters. 

At the opening of the trade this morning, natural gas sold for 105 euros per megawatt-hour - just over 1,115 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters.

Yesterday, the stock exchange closed at 114.53 euros per megawatt-hour - just over $ 1,250 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Despite the trend of cheaper natural gas in the last 6-7 days, the prices of natural gas in Europe are higher than on February 24, when the war in Ukraine began.

On February 23, the TTF hub closed at prices of just over 88 euros per megawatt-hour.

On February 24, natural gas rose to 132 euros per megawatt-hour.

On March 7, the price of natural gas in Europe rose by 79 percent, approaching $ 3,900 for the first time per 1,000 cubic meters.

Azerbaijan will increase natural gas supplies to Europe via Turkey

The prices on the gas exchange in Bulgaria are rising by 10.73 percent this morning in the "day ahead" segment of "Gas Hub Balkan".

Natural gas with a delivery day for tomorrow, March 16, is currently sold at a price of BGN 247 per megawatt-hour, while yesterday the exchange closed at BGN 223.07 per megawatt-hour.

In the "within the day" segment, no deals have been concluded so far, as yesterday the stock exchange closed with a slightly more than one percent lower price compared to the previous day - BGN 222.53 per megawatt-hour.
