The price of natural gas in Europe fell by 19.40 percent, according to data from the international exchange ICE, quoted by BTA, when it opened this morning.

The March futures of the TTF hub in the Netherlands are currently trading for 108.30 euros per megawatt-hour, and at 9:01 Bulgarian time they fell to just over 106 euros per megawatt-hour.

Yesterday at noon the price of natural gas in Europe rose by more than 60 percent and the values ​​exceeded the limit of $ 1,500 per 1,000 cubic meters, which happened for the first time since December 23, 2021.

The stock exchange closed at the end of yesterday at a price of 134.32 euros per megawatt hour.  

The absolute price maximum so far was marked on December 21, 2021 - 166,816 euros per megawatt-hour or over $ 2,000 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Due to the increased supply of liquefied natural gas after December 24, 2021, the values ​​of natural gas in Europe fell below 100 euros per megawatt hour, and on December 31, 2021 the price fell below 70 euros per megawatt hour.
