Electric car maker Tesla has been forced to change an advertisement in South Korea for the scope of the Model 3 after a local regulator attacked the company for exceeding the car's battery capacity, Reuters reported.

Thus, instead of describing that the Model 3 can travel "more than 528 kilometers on a single charge", the ad will now say that the car can travel a "maximum" of 528 kilometers, according to local media.

According to analysts, in cold weather, most electric cars can travel fewer kilometers than recorded in their descriptions.

The American website for "Model 3" says that the car can "go anywhere within a range of 528 kilometers on a single charge."
