Ukrainian forces continue to reduce the number of ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

In particular, on March 5, the Russian patrol ship

"Sergei Kotov"

sank near the Kerch Strait in the eastern part of the Black Sea.

As a result, 7 people died and 27 others were injured.

This is stated in a new report

of British intelligence.

As reported by the GUR, Magura V5 marine unmanned surface vehicles were used to attack the ship.

"Drones of the same type were used in the attack on the Russian landing ship of the year "Caesar Kunikov" on February 14, 2024,"

the message reads.

"Sergiy Kotov" appeared in the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation only in July 2022.

It was previously attacked by UAVs in July and September 2023.

"This is the third ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet that has sunk in the last five weeks. Probably due to the loss of the Black Sea Fleet, on February 15, 2024, the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Viktor Sokolov, was dismissed. Ukraine continues to limit the freedom of maneuver of the Russian Navy in the Black Sea," -

noted in British Ministry of Defence.

It will be recalled that on the night of March 5,

the occupiers in Crimea were attacked by drones.

During the attack in the Kerch area, the enemy patrol boat "Sergei Kotov" was hit.

Sources in the GUR reported that the ship was completely destroyed, and the fate of the crew is still being clarified.
